Canadian Brand CouchHaus Opens First Retail Store

Canadian Brand CouchHaus Opens First Retail Store

Located at 2421 Granville St. in the South Granville neighbourhood of Vancouver, the flagship showroom is a major milestone for the once-only e-commerce brand. Spanning 1,500 square feet, it offers the opportunity for customers to experience CouchHaus’s extensive range of products first-hand. Visitors will find a variety of couch sizes and are able to explore comfort levels, scan fabric swatches and reconfigure the modules to build ‘their’ couch.

The new store also showcases the Canadian company’s eco-friendly product lines, featuring removable and washable covers, re-stuffable cushions and modular designs that can be re-arranged and grow with consumers’ lifestyles and spaces. As part of the company’s sustainability efforts, it plants 100 trees for every couch sold.

Design consultants are available in-store to help with spacial planning and offer complimentary designs services. Interactive displays and augmented reality technology allow customers to visualize how different sofa styles and configurations will look in their homes.

CouchHaus founders Harrison Gordon and Paige Sandher.

CouchHaus was founded in March 2021, by Harrison Gordon and Paige Sandher. The idea was born out of the couple’s own search for the perfect furniture piece. They rethought every component of their dream couch, including size, depth, fabric grade and storage, among other features.

The company’s primary focus is customization. Gordon recently told Retail Insider that the brand offers hundreds of different fabrics and also made-to-measure at no added cost. Custom pieces are delivered within eight to 10 weeks.

The furniture is made overseas in Shanghai.
